在CS1.6里将锁定ex_interp,我希望能使那些人听止抱怨.
Johnny R:
Not many people outside Europe are familiar with you, could you give them some information about yourself?
Johnny R : Hi, my name is Jonas Bollack aka Johnny R., 17 years old and playing cs for mousesports. I live in Berlin, Germany ,like ''most'' of the other players, besides our austrian guys :). I''m still going to school and i''m looking forward to finish it asap. I started playing online with an ISDN line somewhere back in ''98 / ''99 with Worms2, which was and still is a quite interesting game if played seriously.
A little later i got a new computer and an ADSL connection and I started to play some shooters like HLDM / Quake / UT but still not too regularly, since i was playing guitar and drums and had my main focus on that. But I found computer games interesting me more and more so I started to play like 2+ hours a day, which was quite entertaining. When i played Counter-Strike first, which was on the first 3 people private lan i had with some friends i thought it sucked, and we played around with some other games.
Then one day i was surfing the internet and saw some counter-strike update, i think it was something like beta 3. I installed it and i caught my attention immedeately. I started playing CS only for some time and on some 10 people lan i joined a clan called [VA] ''Vindicare Assassins''. I played 2 months for this clan, and after that i switched to -GST- ''German Seal Team''.
They had an own server, which was quite seldom and expensive at that time. I started playing more and more, switched to faculty and then to my^. Everything with my^ went good, it was nearly the same team as mousesports is now, but we had some serious problem with our clanleader JetLee so we made up our own clan mouz.
You recently attended the World Cyber Games in Korea, what was it like to represent Germany and also your clan ?
Johnny R : Of course it was a great honour to play over there, always having in your mind that many people in Germany are counting on you didn''t make it easier. :)At that point i''d like to thank all who supported us at that time. *thnx*
What is the difference between attending the WCG and attending an event like CPL ?
Johnny R : The main difference is that on CPL you don''t represent your country, and there are more good clans attending, since its not limited to 1 per country. Also I think the CPL has some major advantages over the WCG because they have very good PC''s.
At WCG 2002 this year all pc''s had gf2mx200 which made smoke grenades real fps killer (they went down to 10) and overall fps wasn''t so good at all. Another point is that the main focus on CPL is on Counter-Strike at the moment, WCG''s is on Starcraft, but Starcraft is WAY more popular in Korea than in any other country. There even are Gaming Shows all day long with Fifa Games, Tekken Games and of course lots of Starcraft Games.
So this makes the CPL a way more interesting tournament for us, but who doesn''t want a trip to korea. :). Also the cpl announced that their Winter event will be the last ''small event'' and there will be bigger events upcoming so it seems to get interesting.
When mouz came onto the scene people didn''t really take you guys seriously, but now your the best team in Germany right now, what would you say to those people who didn''t have faith in you ?
Johnny R : Actually i don''t know but what i know is that many changed their mind and have faith in us now, which is even more important.
Do you feel it is strange that people idolise you as an awp god?
Johnny R : I personally don''t like the person cult too much since Counter-Strike is a team game and isn''t won by a single player. But it''s like in other sports, everyone has his favourite teams, some also have their favourite players.
I''m not angry with anyone calling me ''awp god'' or something similar but i''d like to remind all these people of the fact that mousesports has a lot of great players and they''re only strong together.
What would you say to the people who flame you who think that you are all config and no skill ?
Johnny R : Config flaming is just stupid, everyones whining if someone else is just better, and finds his excuse in cfgs. CS 1.6 will block ex_interp, and i hope the whining will stop by then.
Could you give the people a brief idea of your daily routine ?
Johnny R : Going to school, coming home, eating lunch, turn on pc, play/chat a bit, clanwars / trainings in the evening. Weekends are sometimes different, and i meet some friends, but i must add playing cs seriously eats up a lot of time.
What tips can you give to people who want to be a pro like you ?
Johnny R : Play a lot, don''t play too much public, try mixteam / gather, play a lot with your clan and always try new tactics.
As we all know Christmas is coming up, what things are high on your wishlist this year?
Johnny R : Actually it''s an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro, which i need to crank up my 3dmark score, no seriously i just need another good graphics card for my second pc and i will put my Ti4600 in that in exchange for the radeon. P.S. : Don''t kill me NVIDIA . Also i''ll buy myself a Vapochill for my PC, because the Prometeia cooling i have at the moment is just untransportable and so its useless for LAN.
what can we look forward to from you and mouz in 2003 ?
Johnny R : In 2003 we will attend as many tournaments as possible, and try to get the german esports-scene more popular.
ok thats all the questions i have for you today, do you have any last comments/shoutouts you would like to say to friends/sponsors ?
Johnny R : Thanks for your patience and the nice interview. Regards go out to: Andi, Kay, Chris, Nils, Thomas, Roman, Seb, Franzl, our newsteam, and especially Yilmaz ,Jens and Thorsten who support us all the time, and all i have forgot.
Thx for your time and gl in the future :)
Johnny R : Thank you.
